For the third year in a row, Bloomsday will be celebrated in Cork with a special evening of music and readings in the Sextant Bar, Albert Quay. Last years event proved to be even more enjoyable than the previous year, with more readers, more singers and more people getting involved than before.
This year, Ken Cotter will again lead the charge ably abetted by Mark Slade on piano with contributions from the four-part vocal group The Eden Singers. Everyone is welcome to take part, whether by reading their favourite paragraph from Ulysses, or singing one of the many songs featured in the book.
The Sextant will provide wine and food, so be sure to come early.
See www.kencotter.com for more information and pictures from the last two year’s events.
